Provided planning, site design, landscape architecture and permit services for the first phase of a new college campus in a low-income residential neighborhood in east Austin. The $12 million first phase includes four buildings totaling 80,000 square feet, a memorable public courtyard with limestone blocks and a canopy of drake elm trees, parking, pedestrian access, and an overflow parking area across the street. The campus was designed to blend in with the neighborhood and serve as a neighborhood center.

Garcia Design, Inc. provided complete site design, zoning, and permit services for the development of an 800-room hotel and mixed-use project on one city block. The project includes a five level underground garage, a full-service hotel, restaurants, retail space, office space, and residential condos. Sub-consultant to Ellerbe Becket Architects (Phoenix, AZ) & CKNR Architects (Austin, TX).

Garcia Design, Inc. provided master planning, site design, and landscape architectures services for this new performing arts center at Town Lake Park. The three theaters housed in the facility will be encircled by radial bands of trees, grasses, and groundcovers to create a strong image and identity for the center. The first phase of the landscape improvements will include relocation of several live oaks, a new perimeter ring of trees, circular drop-offs, and reconstruction of the outer paved terrace to create a seamless transition between the lobby and the park.
