Garcia Design, Inc. was prime consultant for this major expansion of Georgetown’s premier park. The project consists of a softball complex near the treatment plant, a one mile hike/bike trail along the north fork of the San Gabriel River, a ropes course, nature trails, interpretive areas, frisbee golf, lighting and irrigation. Services provided included master planning, grant application, targeting land acquisitions, design, project management, permits, bid assistance, and construction phase services.

Garcia Design, Inc. provided landscape architecture services, master planning, and project management services for a redevelopment master plan of existing parkland. The plan calls for the creation of a pedestrian-friendly promenade from the convention center to the Town Lake entrance of the Mexican American Cultural Center.

Mr. Garcia served as project manager and planner at Paul C.K. Lu & Associates for this one-acre new urban park in Boston’s Historic South End neighborhood. The park is on a busy corner. The program includes playground areas, public art, gardens, and sitting spaces that provide a quiet place of refuge in the densely populated Boston neighborhood. The project received design awards and is on a walking tour of the neighborhood.
